DMCA Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
PinFetch respects the rights of creators. This DMCA policy explains how copyright owners can contact us and how we respond. We also explain what our Pinterest video downloader does and does not do.
How PinFetch Works
PinFetch does not host, upload, or store videos, images, or GIFs on its own servers. Instead, our tool takes a public Pinterest link and helps your browser fetch the file from Pinterest. Therefore, the original content stays on Pinterest. If you want a pin removed, the most direct route is to report it to Pinterest, which can take down the source.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws. If you are a copyright owner, or you act for one, and you believe our website infringes your work, please send us a written notice. We may remove or block the material that the notice identifies.
What Your Notice Must Include
To be valid, a notice should contain all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the owner.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say was infringed. If there are several works, a representative list is fine.
- A description of the infringing material and where it appears on PinFetch, with enough detail for us to find it. For example, include the full URL.
- Your name, postal address, phone number, and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.
An incomplete notice may not be valid, so please include every item. Also, please note that knowingly sending a false notice can create legal liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.

What Happens Next
After we receive a valid notice, we will review it. Then we may remove or disable access to the material, and we may tell the person who posted or linked it. Also, we may share a copy of your notice, including your contact details, with that person.
Counter-Notice
If you think we removed material by mistake or because of a misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any court where PinFetch can be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
If the original complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days of receiving your counter-notice, we may restore the material.
Repeat Infringers
When appropriate, we will block users or sources that repeatedly infringe copyright. Also, we may act on our own if we learn of clear and repeated abuse.
Reminder for Users
Every pin belongs to its creator. Saving a file does not transfer the copyright. Therefore, use downloads for personal, private viewing, and ask the owner before you share, sell, or use content in ads or monetized videos.
